Allen Bradley PLC-5 Advanced Programming with RSLogix-5

This course will instruct the participant in the advanced instruction sets for programming a PLC-5 controller using RSLogix-5 programming software. The course provides both classroom and hands-on training to develop knowledge and skill. Basic Fabrication & Edge Polishing for Natural Stone

This is a hands-on course that will teach the foundations of edge polishing and several simple fabrication skills needed in the dimensional stone industry. It will offer many Old World stone techniques as well as instruction in modern tools and current industry knowledge. There will be additional information given on the density, country of origin and the current commercial names of most natural stones currently in high demand.

 

Blueprint Reading & Basic Measuring Tool

An introductory course for individuals with little or no experience in blueprint reading or precision measuring tools. This course will take you through the alphabet of lines, views, and general rules for reading blueprints. This course will also provide hands-on training in the use of micrometers, calipers, height gages, indicators and various transfer gages. This is a good beginning course for those interested in a career associated with machining.

 

Esprit Solid Mill & Solid Turn -5 Day

Gain a competitive edge with ESPRIT windows based CAD/CAM software training. This course is a hands-on programming course utilizing the latest version of ESPRIT CAD/CAM software. Topics include creation of geometry and features, tool libraries, simulation by means of creating a solid and code generation.

 

Fanuc Advanced Robot Operations & Programming

This course covers error recovery and program troubleshooting. Utilization of advanced functions and key components of the programming code will also be discussed. The course provides both classroom and performance based hands on training to inform personnel on application programming of a robot system. Fanuc Basic Robot Operations & Programming

This course covers the basics of robot coordinate systems, safety, start-up, teach pendant functions, and robot operation in automatic. The student will learn how to create and modify a Tool Center Point. An understanding of basic programming with program editing of positions and basic I/O instructions is provided, as well. The course provides both classroom and performance based hands on training to inform personnel on the basic operations of a robot system. This course is designed to provide the basic skills needed to electrically maintain a robot. The course provides both classroom and performance based hands on training in component replacement, electrical prints, robot troubleshooting, and software management. Fundamentals of CNC Operator/ Programmer Training

Gain the fundamental knowledge required to become a successful CNC operator/programmer. Topics covered in this course are: shop math (including right angle trig. English to Metric conversion, tooling for mills and lathes, CNC offsets, cutting speed and feed calculations, inter-workings and functionality of the actual CNC machine components, etc. Prerequisite: Blueprint Reading and Measuring Tools

GE Fanuc 15B & 15i Maintenance

The GE Fanuc Series 15B & 15i Maintenance course provides a comprehensive exposure to the Series 15i CNCs diagnostic tools for both CNC & machine tool troubleshooting and it provides the tools for maximizing troubleshooting techniques to maintain a machine tool equipped with a Series 15B CNC. Guided navigational labs and demonstrations combined with extensive hands-on lab exercises provide key experience for maintenance needs. GE Fanuc 16/18/21 i & Series 16/18 A/B/C Maintenance

This GE Fanuc Series 16/18/21 i & Series 16/18 A/B/C Maintenance course provides the tools for maximizing troubleshooting techniques to maintain a machine tool equipped with a Series 16/18/21 Series CNC. Classroom demonstrations and presentations are followed by the actual use of a Series 16/18/21 CNC for hands-on lab exercises to reinforce new skills. GE Fanuc Alpha Servo Maintenance

The Alpha Servo Maintenance course provides a functional understanding of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GE Fanuc Alpha series power supplies, amplifiers and motors. Students will learn complete diagnostic address and error code fault tracing. In-depth classroom discussions about how and why servos work are followed by laboratory exercises to reinforce newly learned skills with live equipment. GE Fanuc Ladder Interface Series 15, 16, 18 Controls

The Ladder Interface course for Series 15, 16, 18 Controls focuses on the development of interface programs using the basic and functional PMC instructions for all PMC models. In practical, hands-on lab exercises throughout the course, students will apply new programming, troubleshooting and debugging skills on actual GE Fanuc CNC controls. GE Fanuc Macro B Programming

The Macro B Programming course focuses on part program generation and implementation using the Macro B product. User Macro is especially useful for the family of parts, bolt hole patterns and other repetitive shapes for which no G-code is available. In-depth discussions are combined with hands-on lab exercises that enable the student to apply newly acquired principles to a practical environment. GE Fanuc Manual Guide i

The objective of the Manual Guide i course is to teach students how to generate both simple and complex part programs using conversational and graphical input with Manual Guide i. Classroom demonstrations and hands-on practice will be focused on turning cycles, such as Outer/Inner Diameter Cutting, Facing, Drilling, Threading, Grooving, Necking and C-axis Machining; and milling cycles, such as Facing, Frame Miller, Pocketing, Drilling, Calibration and Measuring. GE Fanuc Series 30i Maintenance

The Series 30i/31i/32i Maintenance course provides the tools for maximizing troubleshooting techniques to maintain a machine tool equipped with a Series 30i/31i/32i CNC. A fast paced, hand-on approach to learning the fundamentals and basic working knowledge of machining lathes. Learn proper safety, care, set-up and operation of manual turning lathe. An excellent course for those with little or no machining background or for those interested in the CNC Operator/Programmer certificate program with MTC. Prerequisite: Blueprint Reading & Measuring Tools course or demonstrated proof of basic skills.

 

Introduction to Mills

A fast paced, hands-on approach to learning the fundamentals and basic working knowledge of vertical mills. Learn proper safety, care, set-up and operation of manual machine shop mills. An excellent course for those with little or no machining background, or for those interested in the CNC Operator/Programmer certificate program with MTC. Prerequisite: Blueprint Reading & Measuring Tools course or demonstrated proof of basic skills.

 

Mastering CNC Programming

An application-based course incorporating all the knowledge and skills acquired from the Fundamentals and Principles course. In this course you will utilize your knowledge to write CNC programs, select proper tooling and set up the CNC equipment to produce parts to print specifications from your individually developed CNC program. Prerequisite: Principles of CNC Operator/Programming

 

Principles of CNC Programming

Begin transforming blueprints into actual CNC machine programs by designing/executing your personally generated CNC programs on computer based simulators in the classroom. Topics covered include: machine language (G & M codes), work coordinates, various types of offsets, cutter compensation, canned cycles, etc. Prerequisite: Fundamentals of CNC Operator/Programmer

 

SIMATIC S5 Maintenance l

The SIMATIC S5 Maintenance 1 course provides the basic skills necessary to troubleshoot a process or manufacturing operation that is controlled by a SIMATIC S5 PLC. The course is a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and maintenance.

 

SIMATIC S7 PLC's S7 Service 1

This course introduces the student to a "Totally Integrated Automation" system. Participants will build skills on commissioning, troubleshooting and upgrading an automation system complete with HMI, PLC, drive and communications network. Siemens Automation & Energy will only conduct class if the minimum number of registrations are received 3 weeks prior to class start date.

 

SIMATIC S7 System Tools & Troubleshooting 1

This course is designed for industry "first responders" to operations controlled with Siemens STEP 7 automoated control systems. Students not requiring programming skills, such as maintenance tecnicians, electricians, supervisors and others, who need an understanding of their Siemens control system to maximize line uptime, should attend this course. This course also makes a great platform for those new to automation systems and industrial electronics. SINUMERIK CNC Control D Series Maint.1

This course is for Operator/Programmers of CNC machines that utilize the SINUMERIK 840D/810D/840Di controls, with MMD-103 or PCU-50 Operator Interfaces. This course provides a complete overview of the softkey menus of the SINUMERIK D-series CNC's and describes the basic principles of operating the control. Demonstrations are given on how to manage part programs, define offsets, and restore programs and control data. Surface Measurement/Metrology

Profilometers and roundness gauges will be used to measure the geometry and texture of surfaces. Types of styli, numerical assessment values, language associated with surface evaluation and GD&T symbols will be covered. Prerequisite: Blueprint reading and basic measurement tool skills required.
