Audio Engineering Summer 2008 - Spring 2009 Certificate (PDF format)

What our students say...

"Signing up for classes at the Midland's Audio Institute was the best thing I've done to help me in my pursuit of a career in the music industry. I've gained priceless knowledge of the music business and grown in technical knowledge of music theory and audio engineering. I thought I was going to have to move to New York or LA to find a school that could help me map out a plan of how to succeed in the industry, but I've found everything I need at the Midlands Audio Institute. The price is reasonable and the instructors are always willing to help you in any way you can. Thanks to their network of contacts, I already have an interview set up for a promotions position with a regional booking agency as well the prospect of interning for a local artist. I would recommend that anyone who is serious about breaking into the music industry whether as a manager, booking agent, artist or producer sign up for the next available classes. It will be worth every penny and you won't be disappointed!"

Brandi N. Roe

"I studied pop music recording techniques from four local studios over the past 18 years. I did learn some things over the years, but was never satisfied with the sonic quality. I will honestly say the routing ideas that the guys at the Midlands Audio Institute taught me in the course have filled in the missing pieces of the recording puzzle that have eluded me for so long. I especially want to thank Jay for offering this course. I am sure that I didn’t learn everything about recording, but I feel much more confident that I now know the A-B-C’s and 1-2-3 basics of recording. The most important things that I learned where how to get the correct microphone for each instrument AND how to route the compressors, limiters, and reverbs. This class is must for anyone wanting to build a home studio or run sound for a band."
