The participant will have the opportunity to become comfortable with a process for evaluation that will contribute to positive relationships and performance outcomes.

 

Facilitation Skills Training

This course helps participants develop the skills necessary for effective classroom instruciton and on-the-job training. Adult learned theory is introduced and participants learn how to use the discussional method, use of questions, visual aids, simulations and role-plays. Participants also learn strategies for handling problem participants and effective icebreakers to introduce training programs.

 

Getting Off on the Right Foot- Hire, Orientation

Participants learn how to conduct a behavioral interview, determine the best orientation structure, and learn a process for on-the-job training of a new employee. CHANGE

Participants will explore the following topics: Making the transition (moving from worker to supervisor), Leadershp Management Skills, Financial Skills, Communication Fundamentals and Performance Management.

Upon completion, participants will be able to define the difference between a group & a team; explore the behaviors of members of dynamic teams; identify elements of team effectiveness; describe a process for developing a team mission statement & ground rules.

Unit 4: Managing the Process

Helping employees manage work processes involves setting goals, solving problems, making decisions, creating a plan, and managing the changes that are inevitable in any process. This unit takes a how-to, hands-on approach to managing each of these functions.
