Emergency Medical Technician

EMT Basic

Students who successfully complete this course will be eligible to take the National Registry exam sponsored by South Carolina DHEC. Mandatory uniform policy: Black Khaki pants, black polo shirt, black shoes, black belt. Textbooks Required are available at Beltline Campus Bookstore. Prerequisite: High school diploma or GED, and either WorkKeys assessment tests (reading for information, applied math, locating information - $48 total--all with a minimum score of 3) OR a college degree. WorkKeys must be submitted PRIOR to registration (EMT Program Manager, Continuing Education, PO Box 2408, Columbia, SC 29202).

 

EMT Basic Hybrid

This 152-hour course consists of both online and classroom activities. Students who successfully complete this course will be eligible to take the National Registry exam sponsored by SC DHEC. Prerequisites: high school diploma/GED, and either WorkKeys assessments tests ($48 total for reading for information, applied math, locating information - all with a minimum score of 3) OR a college degree. This information must be submitted PRIOR to registration - mail to: EMT Program Manager, Cont. Ed., PO Box 2408, Columbia, SC 29202. There is a mandatory uniform policy: black khaki pants, black polo shirt, black shoes, black belt. Textbooks required, available at Beltline Campus bookstore.

 

EMT-Refresher

This course provides students a review of the Basic EMT curriculum.

 

Remedial EMT

In this 16-hour course students will gain additional experience in practice skills and check-offs necessary for the EMT Basic Practical Exam.
