(Prerequisite to Oral Examination): The Two-Day Orientation workshop is the only required course offered, related to and mandatory for South Carolina Court Interpreter Certification. This course covers the interpreter's role, modes of interpreting, legal terminology, and professional ethics. Candidates must successfully complete this course and must ALSO successfully pass the Written Examination in order to register and sit for the Oral Examination. Instructor: Melinda Gonzalez-Hibner. A photo I.D. is required. Check-in time is 8:00-8:30 AM. No senior citizen discount.
