Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
This program is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the advanced knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment required to provide comprehensive prehospital emergency medical care, building upon the foundation laid by emergency medical technician training. This program delves into more advanced concepts, procedures, and decision-making processes, empowering participants to deliver high-quality emergency medical services. This intensive program spans 294.5 hours of didactic instruction, hands-on practical training, and clinical experience. The curriculum is carefully crafted to ensure a thorough understanding of advanced medical techniques and the ability to apply them in real-world emergency situations. Successful completion of the AEMT program enables participants to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification examination. Prerequisites: National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicans (NREMT) certification, Accuplacer score of >250 in Reading and Arithmetic. If you are not currently an EMT, MTC offers an Emergency Medical Technician training certificate.
