Equipment and materials required to participate in the Basic Constable Course firearms training: A handgun meeting the SLED Group III Constable criteria 9mm, .38, .357, .40, or .45 caliber NOTE: Nearly every agency in SC carries a semi-auto pistol. Many require that constables carry the same weapon in order to ride with that agency. Such as, Richland County Sheriff's Department requires Constables to carry a Glock .40 caliber pistol. A level II security holster for your handgun and an appropriate 1.5 to 2 inch leather or nylon belt A double magazine pouch for your handgun 3 magazines for your handgun No less than 400 rounds of ammunition for the handgun At least 10 dummy rounds, also known as Safe-T rounds, for your handgun Muff style hearing protection and protective eyewear (safety glasses) A baseball style cap A cleaning kit for the handgun A flashlight with a pressure switch or "kill switch" | 150.00 |
