In order to be successful in the Photography certificate program the
student will be responsible for having these items before class begins:
DSLR ($400-$500)
SD Card for the Camera ($20- 40) depending on size of the card, I
recommend a 32gb SD card Class 10($20)
SD card reader ($10-20)
an External Hard drive ($100- 200) also depends on size, I recommend WD
- easystore® 1TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Black ($100)
A tripod ($99-179). I recommend Manfrotto - Compact Advanced 65" Tripod
- Black ($100)
Adobe CC ($20) Sign up with adobe and share with them your receipt for
the class and get a discount on their services. However, this is not
backed or offered by the college, students may pursue any other means
of editing that fit within their budgets.
The student will also be responsible for having access to a computer to
do minor editing on for the final portion of the certificate if they
choose not to use Adobe CC.
A DSLR camera is required for this program. Interchangeable lenses are
not required but are highly recommended
Students entering the certificate class will be responsible for having
access to a laptop capable of accessing and running Adobe Lightroom
Classic CC for the two weeks of class or the final 4 sessions. A
subscription to Lightroom is also required. Do not subscribe until you
